McDrive-Thru Challenge

Firstly the Internet was utilised to discover the position of all of Scotland's McDonald's restaurants.   Then we used a map to plot a rough route that would take us to each restaurant with a 'Drive Thru'.

We packed our toothbrushes, sleeping bags, maps and a list of McDonald's addresses and set off in a hire car. For three days we travelled around Scotland, driving through and buying something from each McDonald's.   We only left the car when refuelling or to use McDonald's conveniences.   Our journey took us through some of Scotland's most beautiful, and most dismal places.   Each restaurant stop was marked on the map resulting in an intriguing geographical representation of Scotland.   After three days and 1044 miles we finally returned home having visited all of Scotland's 59 Drive Thru McDonald's restaurants.

The performance is documented with photographs, till receipts, maps and five large bin bags containing all the accumulated rubish.
